1.1 Teaching Methods of the Teacher Observed

Based on the observation during the practicum at President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU), the teachers applied a variety of teaching methods to ensure effective learning. The dominant method observed was the lecture-discussion method, where the teacher explained the lesson while encouraging students to participate through questions and short discussions.

In addition, student-centered approaches were also evident. The teacher used group discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and problem-based learning to promote critical thinking and active participation. These methods helped students connect theoretical concepts with real-life situations and improved classroom interaction.

1.2 Learning Materials and Innovation

The learning materials used by the teacher included PowerPoint presentations, printed handouts, and reference textbooks aligned with the course syllabus. The teacher structured the materials clearly, starting from basic concepts and gradually moving to more complex topics.

In terms of innovation, the teacher incorporated simple but effective strategies such as real-life examples, case studies, and short reflective activities. These innovations helped make the lessons more engaging and easier to understand for students with different learning abilities.

1.3 Sources of Learning and Technology Used by the Teachers

The teacher utilized various learning sources, including textbooks, academic modules, and online references. Technology played an important role in the teaching process. Multimedia tools such as laptops, LCD projectors, and presentation software were commonly used during classes.

The teacher also made use of online platforms and digital resources to share learning materials and assignments. This integration of technology supported flexible learning and allowed students to access learning resources anytime.

1.4 Authentic Assessment Used by the Teachers

Authentic assessment was applied through performance-based tasks such as group presentations, individual assignments, quizzes, and class participation. The teacher assessed students not only based on written exams but also on their ability to explain concepts, work collaboratively, and apply knowledge to real situations.

Rubrics were used to evaluate presentations and projects, ensuring fair and transparent assessment. Feedback was provided to help students understand their strengths and areas for improvement.
