ABOUT ME
My name is Rizky Juanda, an Economics Education student from Indonesia. Looking back, I never truly imagined that I would have the chance to participate in an international teaching program and experience life abroad. Studying and teaching outside my home country once felt like a distant dream—something meant for others, not for someone like me.
I come from a background where English is not used in daily academic life. There were many moments of self-doubt, moments when I questioned whether I was capable enough to communicate, to teach, and to adapt in a foreign environment. Yet, despite those doubts, I chose to try. Joining the SEA Teacher Program was not about proving anything to others, but about proving to myself that I could step beyond my comfort zone.
Being selected and successfully completing this program in the Philippines became a personal milestone. Teaching students, standing confidently in front of a classroom, and representing my university and my country were experiences I never thought I would live through. Each challenge I faced became a lesson, and each small achievement slowly built my confidence.
This program taught me that growth does not come from certainty, but from courage. I am proud of myself—not because the journey was easy, but because I stayed, learned, and finished what I started. Passing this program is a reminder that even quiet determination can lead to extraordinary opportunities.
This experience will always be part of my story, shaping who I am and who I aspire to become.
